My sister is obviously not doing her job today, as she is too busy, sending me THING I NEED TO KNOW! I think you should know this too.

Google has implemented a new
feature wherein you can type someone's telephone number into the search
bar and hit enter and then you will be given a map to their house. As
a single young lady, I can tell you I find that extremely alarming.
Not to mention, if you child gives out his/her phone number someone can
actually now look it up to find out where your child lives?
Yahoo provides a map to the city or general area in which you live -
which doesn't bother me that much - but Mapquest actually put a star on
my house on my street.
NOTE: In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, type your
phone number in the search bar of www.google.com
without the dashes (eg. 310XXXXXX) and hit
enter. If your phone number is not publicly listed, you should be
fine, but for those of you wishing to BLOCK Google from divulging your
private information click on the telephone icon next to your phone
after it locates you and you will see a link where you are allowed to
REMOVE yourself from Google's database.

I did it, big red star on my house too.
