Pope, France, Say World Must Help Iraq Rebuild

Earlier Friday, Villepin and his German and Russian counterparts said the United Nations would have to play a key role in rebuilding the country because it alone had legitimate authority.

Legitimate authority. Hmm. Anyone else reading between these lines?

This will be the next conflict, long after the sand has settled. Who has the "legitimate authority" to inflict their personal interest on Iraq, cloaked in the veil of rebuilding?

Personally, I think Golden Arches on every corner might spruce up the place. Think Ronald Mohammad...

As far as the French go? They remind me of that children's story about the hen who goes through all the trouble of planting wheat so she can bake some bread to feed all the other barnyard animals.
She keeps asking, ' Who will help me till the soil? Who will help me plant the seeds? Who will help me cut the wheat?' ect.
No one wants to help.
She goes through the whole process, asking for help all along the way.
No one helps.

Then they smell the bread baking. They come running. They all want to help eat the bread.

In her best, children's story hen voice, she tells them to take a flyin' leap.

France? Cluck cluck baby.
