This is really starting to piss me off.
Dixie Chicks Hire 'Posse' To Protect Them From Angry Fans
After Natalie Maines made an anti-Bush statement while performing overseas in March, the Dixie Chicks have received threats from angry Americans and have had to employ round-the-clock security.
According to Emily Robison, the group now has an entourage of guards wherever they go to deal with the rage directed at the group, which Robison adds, has gone too far. She told syndicated radio host Bob Kingsley: "I feel like our safety is a huge, important issue right now. We officially have a posse now because we have to have security people with us at all times, and this has gotten to a point where enough is enough, you know? When you feel like your own safety is an issue, I think people have to step back."
Robison considers the reaction to Maines' comment "un-American," especially because she said it was misunderstood and taken out of context. "That is un-American to me,? Robison said. ?That is un-American that something that somebody said can be, first of all, misconstrued and just totally taken out of context, and she's apologized for it which a lot of people don't know."
I've had it. You flag-waving, bible-thumping, venom-spewing, war-mongering, money-grubbing, republican, conservative, right-wing, GUTLESS, UNAMERICAN, MENTAL DEFICIENTS. Are your lives SO DAMN EMPTY? Now. If you've managed to get over the whole Dixie Chick fiasco, if you've managed to somehow go on with your life, and if you are a TRUE AMERICAN, none of the things I've said above will offend you. If you are offended, then it's YOU I'm talking to.
I suspect, from the intelligent, conservative blogs I read, that normal, everyday war whores and conservatives have LONG gotten over this NON-EVENT, as I've seen no recent posts dragging up this tired, stupid issue. So it's the lunatic fringe I'm apparently addressing. You are gutless. You are misogynistic, you have tiny penises (men or women, fits both), and I suspect that you are inbred. You have no lives, you have no intelligence, you have no love for your country. You are NOT an American in my book, which makes you fair game and a light snack.
You've now made this my crusade. If you'd just shut the f*ck up, this issue and the DC's would have gone away long ago. This leads one to believe that you are now just having fun with it. You are so powerless, such useless tools. How tiny and insignificant you must feel.
Still not gotten the all-american Chick bashing out of your system? Has Natalie Maine ignored your death threats? Has she ignored your silly little steamrolling parties? Has she not apologized to you personally yet? Are you still pissed because you can't seem to control real Americans? I have a treat for your ignorant ass.
I agree with everything Natalie has said thus far, including the remark that got your collective panties in a wad in the first place. Can't bash a Chick personally?
