DIXICIDE ON NATIONAL TV
I didn't watch the Oscars. I was boycotting them (even though it resembled pouting).
I LOVE Michael Moore and his entire body of work. I think "Bowling For Columbine" was a work of art. It deserved to win the Oscar, and any other award it's ever up for.
I think he is funny. Very funny. I love the irony that runs through everything he touches.
I think he has nerves of steel and kahones the size of Texas.
I think he wouldn't be Michael Moore if he hadn't done what he did at the Oscars.
Do I agree with whether he should have done it or not? A. Probably Not. B. Who cares?
But I absolutely LOVE that he had such strength of his convictions. I respect that regardless of the viewpoint expressed.
He committed Dixicide on national TV, for the world to see, with little or no regard for his reputation, future income, popularity, and with the current climate, safety.
He'll pay dearly for his convictions, but I imagine he knew that going in.
This is raw passion. And I love it. This is guts. I love that too.
Love him or hate him, you should go to his site. He's written a letter that starts out; " I'd Like to Thank the Vatican..."
In it he explains his actions on Oscar night.
