President Bush pauses just before expressing his concern for victims of the tornadoes that hit Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Nebraska and South Dakota last weekend as he was promoting his domestic economic agenda and embattled tax-cut plan, Monday, May 5, 2003. Bush asked Americans to pray for victims of tornadoes that barreled through Midwestern states, and he promised swift federal aid "where help is justified."

This is Bush expressing concern. Good grief, he can't even fake it.

Ok, I tried. I really did. I was going to try to lay off Bush bashing, as he is just too easy a target and I was growing weary of his idiotic antics. But the last statement makes my blood boil. THIS is how much he gives a damn about Americans.' Where help is justified'...funny how he made that statement at a rally PROMOTING HIS DOMESTIC ECONOMIC AGENDA. So what, is helping Americans who were literally WIPED OUT going to dip into his defense spending? I can't remember the last time we had such a self-involved, apathetic man in office.
